Created by Lance 6 years agoOn 12 June 1954, Colin and Jean were married. The council had chosen that day to tarmac the road where Jean lived - and the workmen had to carry her to the end of the street so she could make her own wedding! Dad couldn't afford the 8 shillings and 6d for the flowers but the florist agreed to wait until the next month for payment.
